Meet Dani – A Passionate Parent & Kids Coach

With a rich and varied background, Dani brings depth, empathy, and lived experience to her coaching at Mind Station. Dani’s journey began in her late teens when she was teaching sports to children. The buzz of outdoor activity, teamwork and watching their confidence grow, inspired her to study Sport Science and create her own swimming academy.
This early passion for working with young people laid the foundations for everything that followed.
Dani’s life took an unexpected turn in 2001 when she was diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS) and spent 15 years largely unable to take part in society. During this time, her tenacity and deep curiosity about the brain–body connection became central to her pathway back to health.
“Having had so much taken away, I became determined not to waste a single ounce of energy on anything I wasn’t truly passionate about. That clarity led me to pursue a long-held dream of studying acting.”
Through both her recovery and acting training, Dani experienced powerful lightbulb moments. “I came to understand myself as a highly sensitive person and empath, and suddenly my childhood experiences made sense in a way they never had before. Gaining language and understanding around emotions gave me a level of self-awareness and confidence that had previously been missing, an insight that now deeply informs how I work with children.”
Alongside acting, Dani moved into facilitation and training across educational and corporate settings, eventually building her own company specialising in resilience and wellbeing workshops.
“I’ve supported people of all ages to develop emotional awareness, confidence, and practical tools for navigating everyday challenges.
My training in LEGO® Serious Play® allows me to bring a hands-on, creative, and engaging approach that resonates particularly strongly with children.” Dani knows first-hand how vital it is for children to feel seen, supported, and understood. Her coaching is grounded, child-centred, and deeply compassionate, creating a space where children can safely explore their emotions, recognise their strengths, and build confidence in who they are.
Dani’s passion has always come full circle back to working with children.
“I am incredibly driven to help children and young people understand their emotions, making the world feel easier to navigate for both them and their families.
Simple, fun and meaningful tools can make a profound difference, individually and within the family unit.
I’m incredibly excited to be part of Mind Station and to work within a team that creates such positive and lasting change to children’s lives.”

When Dani’s not acting or coaching, you’ll usually find her surf-skating or riding her motorbike around West London, or surfing and scuba diving somewhere sunny.
