Meet

Kash

Kash kicked off her journey with kids when she was just 14, setting up a ‘mini Master Chef’ club at the local community center for little ones in reception. Little did she know that those hours of wrangling 4-year-olds away from raw cupcake batter and cooking up some very questionable ‘meals’ would lead her to where she is now at Mind Station.

Post-university, still figuring out the work scene, Kash snagged her first gig as a youth worker at the same place she’d volunteered at during her teens, hoping it would buy her some time to get things ‘figured out.’

Two years of organizing activities for kids aged 4 to 18 made her realize her calling had been staring her in the face all along – supporting young people was where she found her joy.

From there, Kash jumped to Groundwork London, where she managed and delivered a National Citizen Service and HeadStart Action programme. Later, she took charge, launching The Nest, a free and open-access mental health service for 0 to 25-year-olds and their families in the London Borough of Southwark.

Her stint as a Service Manager for a mental health service drove home the importance of young people having their own space to talk about life. That’s why Kash is beyond excited to join the Mind Station team and be part of creating that supportive space for young minds.
